We’re working on our new website. Instead of promising a grand relaunch, we decided to keep the work in plain view. During the next few months, you’ll be able to see the changes taking place here: different themes, typographic styles and image treatments will be tried occasionally. It may happen very quickly. It may take a long time, and we might end up with something almost unchanged after all. In any case, you will see when it’s done that it’s done.
Newsletter for the annual exhibition Platform Seoul 2008, which was held at dispersed venues in the city. 255 x 360 mm, 4 pp.
The title was treated to suggest the sense of wandering around the city, by using the graphic language of street signs with confusingly placed arrow marks. The subtitle of the exhibition, emphasizing the non-visual experiences of art, was “I have nothing to say and I am saying it”: a quotation from John Cage’s lecture on “nothing.” A page of Cage’s book Silence (1961), where the quote was originally published, was scanned, and the sentence highlighted by underlines.
