Mission
Insa Art Space launched IAS media program to revitalize the video art scene in Korea. As a narrative and time-based media, video has an immaterial characteristic compared to painting, sculpture, or installation. Therefore, acquisition and collection of video art is relatively limited, calling forth an alternative way of circulating and supporting video art, especially in the domestic sphere. Directed as a long-term project to protect the distributional environment of video/digital art and complement the limitation of the field, IAS Media seeks to build a video archive and collection focusing on distributive activity.
