Nam Hwayeon’s video 2 explores a parallel history of South Korea and Taiwan by investigating the work of two female choreographer-dancers: Choi Seung-hee (1911-1969) from Korea and Tsai Jui-yueh (1921-2005) from Taiwan. Our barely moving sequences present the title as mirror images and are dispersed throughout the work.
