A *New* Program for Graphic Design
offset lithograph, adhesive-bound
150 x 225 mm, 320 pp
Rooted in the courses developed for liberal arts students at Princeton University, A *New* Program for Graphic Design is “a do-it-yourself textbook that synthesizes the pragmatic with the experimental and builds on mid-to late-20th-century pedagogical models to convey advanced principles of contemporary design for a general reader” (the original publisher’s website).
The design of this Korean edition attempts to translate the original book’s design. Unable to find a suitable Korean equivalent of the bold typeface used in the English edition, we inverted the headings and framed them in black boxes for differentiation. The cover displays the Korean text imposed as an additional layer on the original design.
