Each title of Munhakdongne’s Georges Perec series shows the same portrait of the author on the jacket, but the image is treated differently according to the themes of the content. On Le voyage d’hiver / Le voyage d’hier, it is merged with a portrait of the other author of the book, Jacques Roubaud, and the composite may or may not hint at a third personality, the obscure nineteenth-century poet Hugo Bernier, who appears in both stories.
