An Interview with Young Jae Cho

Front cover

Book by Hyeon-Joo Kang, Seoul: Design Flux, 2010. Paperback, 140 x 224 mm, 256 pp. This book presents a long interview with one of the pioneers of Korean modern graphic design, Young Jae Cho. The front cover shows a portrait of Cho from the catalogue of his first solo exhibition ‘DECOMAS’ (Design Coordination as a Management Strategy, meaning ‘corporate identity design’) in 1976. We transformed the original black-and-white photograph into a kind of ‘Ascii graphic’ with the numerous logos he designed since the 1970s (click on the image for detail).
