The artist Kwon Ahram questions how our visions of the future are shaped by blind faith in technological progress. Fever Eye: The Red Gaze is the first monograph on her body of work.

The cover material and edge coloring redner the book as a red object. The cover typography adapts the visual identity of Kwon’s eponymous exhibition at Songeun. The artist’s name is flipped, like a mirror image, and printed in black ink, overlaid by the book’s title in silver foil.

The spreads are adorned with spattered texture borders that mimic spray paint seeping into the pages: both a practical tactic to enhance the density of the edge coloring and a symbolic gesture pointing to the border between the virtual and the physical. The text typography also tests the notion of borders by setting the columns without margins.
