Transient Space is “a digital, projected gallery that explores the concepts of time, space and the culture” initiated by designer Adam Griffiths. For the exhibition with theme of “Disrupt,” each invited artist was asked to create a seventeen-second piece, the duration being “the average time people look at a work in a gallery” according to a recent research.

Our work shows nineteen transitions selected from a library of effects provided by Apple Keynote. The sampled transitions – from Clothesline to Mosaic and Pivot – are merged into a single, seventeen-second sequence, which, despite the resulting complexity, does describe a continuous change from a white blank screen to black.
