SMSM: The Power of Color
Published in conjunction with a public art project The Power of Color, organized by Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art as its Handspan Gallery Project and presented at the Danwon Health Center, Ansan.
This book was made as part of the first realized work of the collective SMSM: Sasa[44], Park MeeNa Park, Sulki and Min. The Health Center Project, which was inspired by the color therapy theory of Dr. Morton Walker, is documented in the first section of the book. The rest is made simply of different kinds of colored paper, with no information except brief quotations from Dr. Walker’s The Power of Color (1991) on the alleged physiological effects of each color. The reader may choose a color right for her or his own conditions and hope to get better by simply staring at the pages.
